该矿区地质矿产工作始于上世纪70 年代, 以前主要对周边的铜、铁等矿种进行了不同程度的矿产普查和零星的地质调查英语翻译。

1、1974 年省区测队在开展1/20 万神农架幅地质矿产调查时, 对包括本矿区在内的地质矿产进行了全面系统的总结; 提交了1/20 万神农架幅区域地质矿产调查报告, 大致圈定了本区矿层及围岩地层的时代归属及地质构造轮廓, 并将本
区圈定在宋洛河铜、铅、锌Ⅱ级远景区范围内。
2、1987 年省对口支援工作队对该区的磷、硫铁矿作过一些地质工作, 同年保康县马桥镇硫酸厂委托化工研究所作过一些地质勘广州翻译公司。

1. When 1:200,000 Shennongjia roll geology mineral investigation was performed in 1974 by province regional survey team, comprehensive and systematic summary of geology mineral including the mining area was made. 1:200,000 Shennongjia roll regional geology mineral investigation report was submitted, and epoch attribution and geological tectonic outline of ore bed and wall rock stratum in the area was delineated approximately and the area was delineated in the range of Cu, Pb, Zn II grade long-term development area of Songluohe.
2. Some geology work of phosphorus and sulfurous iron ore in the area was made in 1987 by province coordinated cooperation work team, in the same year some geology exploration work was performed by chemical industry research institute entrusted by Baokang county Maqiao town sulphuric acid plant.
