Do some of your employees drive you up the wall? You know, the type who constantly complain about work, or who thrive on gossip, or are always taking personal calls at work and not meeting their deadlines. Such employees can be a source of tension in the office and can bring down an entire team's morale.The complainer: This type of employee starts the day by complaining about little things and moves on to complain about every other thing. This person attacks office policies, picks on other people's attitudes, constantly talks about how great his or her previous company was, or is usually the first to raise objections on new ideas. Such an attitude can dampen the mood of other employees and potentially put the brakes on new projects.

Experts suggest that managers should have a chat with complaining employees to figure out if their concerns are legitimate. If they're not, the employee needs to be informed as soon as possible that the negative attitude is not acceptable.
