湖南省会同县白岩坳金矿矿区位于会同县炮团乡东16km, 属于会同县炮团乡辖区。地理坐标：东经109°26′15″—109°27′50″, 北纬26°54′30″—26°53′14″；面积4.68km2。矿区北有湘黔铁路、西有枝柳铁路；320国道及1832、1840、1808省道通过本区, 各县、乡、村与矿区均有公路相通, 交通方便。矿区山多田少, 山地广布松杉林木, 间杂茶油、桐竹等经济林, 是群众的重要经济来源。农作物以稻谷为主, 沿沟谷山间分布。低矮山坡地间产红薯、玉米、小麦、小米等杂粮日语翻译。
Baiyanao gold mine, which is under the jurisdiction of Paotuan Village, is situated 16km to the east of Paotuan Village Huitong County, Hunan Province. The position of the area is longitude109°26′15″--109°27′50″east, latitude 26°54′30″--26°53′14″north. The mine has an area of 4.68km2. The mine area is close to the Xiang-Qian railway (to the north) and Zhi-Liu railway (to the west). National highway No.320, Provincial highway No.1832, No.1840 and No.1808 run through the area, the county, or the village and are connected to the mine area, so the transportation is convenient. There are many hills and few farmlands, and its mountainous land is widely covered with woods of pine trees and cunninghamia sinensis, mixed with economic forest of tea oil and tung, which is one of the most important source of finance of people there. Paddy is the main crop, which distributes in cloughs and areas between mountains. Low shorlders produce batata, corn, wheat and millet.
矿区属中高山区, 最高海拔626m, 最低海拔280m, 相对高差346m；区内林木繁茂, 植被发育；年降雨量平均为1200mm, 最高降雨量为1600mm；属亚热带气候。矿区水资源丰富, 雪峰山河水流经矿区；
